How to use the kit selector

  1. Select number of ways:

    Choose 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, or 12 ways.

  2. Select kit type:

    Choose a mated, receptacle, or plug kit.

  3. Select housing style (plug side only):

    For plug-side kits, choose Standard or E007.

  4. Select terminal plating:

    Choose gold or nickel terminals.

Contact insertion

Step 1

Hold the crimped contact approximately one inch behind the contact barrel.

Orient the connector with the rear grommet facing you.

Push the contact straight through the rear grommet until it clicks. Gently tug the wire to confirm that the contact is locked.

After all contacts are seated, insert the orange wedgelock until it snaps into place.

Contact removal

Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry the orange wedgelock straight out.

Pull the wire backward gently while using a small screwdriver to move the locking finger away from the contact.

Hold the rear seal in place while withdrawing the contact to keep the seal properly positioned.

Wedgelock reference

Confirm that the orange wedgelock is fully and evenly seated after reassembly.
